Search guide
The Netherlands are treated as a separate 'region', and the Palaearctic region excludes articles that are dealing with The Netherlands only. Many articles are dealing with material from more than one region.
The following taxa were used to classify the articles and these names can be used for searching:
Arachnida, Blattodea, Coleoptera, Collembola, Crustacea, Dermaptera, Diplura, Diptera, Embioptera, Ephemeroptera, Hemiptera, Hymenoptera, Isoptera, Lepidoptera, Mantodea, Mecoptera, Megaloptera, Myriapoda, Neuroptera, Odonata, Orthoptera, Phasmida, Plecoptera, Protura, Psocodea, Pycnogonida, Raphidioptera, Siphonaptera, Strepsiptera, Thysanoptera, Thysanura.
Error reporting
The ambition of the project was to make the complete index of Tijdschrift voor Entomologie available online. We hope to have achieved this goal with respect to the articles. The proceedings of the society and most of the appendices to the proceedings are included if they had a separate title. Book reviews are not fully covered.
If you do find errors in the text or in the classification of the articles please let us know by email. We would like to correct all errors, because even small typing errors can result in not finding articles when searching the database.
Publication dates
Only the publication year is given as a result when querying the database. Exact publication dates, as far as currently known can be found in a downloadable spreadsheet (95 Kb).
Publication dates of the first 37 volumes are not exactly known. The spreadsheet gives an estimate based on the communications published in the proceedings. There are still many questions about publication dates and pagination of the issues of volume 1-18. If you are aware of additional information such as copies with arrival dates or copies with original wrappers of these early volumes the editors would like to know.
